Visiting Fellow at the Institute for Science, Innovation and Society

Jason is a leading international scholar and policy adviser on the interface between science and international public policy. His work includes a focus on the science and governance of climate change, including projects on geoengineering, short-lived climate forcers and sustainable energy transitions.
His work on geoengineering has included numerous articles and presentations across five continents for scholarly and public audiences, along with authorship of major synoptic reports by the Novim Group (on stratospheric aerosol geoengineering), the American Physical Society (on ambient air capture) and the IPCC Expert Meeting on Geoengineering (forthcoming, 2012)  He is also a Working Group Member of the Solar Radiation Management Governance Initiative (SRMGI), and has led the organization of several international side events (e.g. UNFCCC COP-15 in Copenhagen) and conferences on the science and governance of geoengineering.
Jason's current projects include editing a forthcoming volume examining the ethics, politics and governance of geoengineering, which is scheduled for publication by Earthscan in late 2012 or early 2013.
