Oxford Geoengineering Programme

-- Cancelled -- Geoengineering: Why We Need Due Diligence on the Science

Monday 11th February 2013

UPDATE 8 FEB 2013

Unfortunately, Julia Slingo is not going to be able to make it to Oxford on Monday 11 February due to unforeseen circumstances, so the lecture previously advertised has been cancelled. We are hoping to arrange another visit a little later in the year and will advertise the event at that time.

Apologies for any inconvenience caused

Professor Julia Slingo, Chief Scientist, The Met Office. Monday 11 February 14:00 - 15:00 Lindemann Lecture Theatre, Clarendon Building, Department of Physics, Parks Road, Oxford. OX1 3PU.

Professor Slingo, the Chief Scientist at the Met Office, will be giving a talk on geoengineering and the role of modelling in performing due diligence on proposed techniques. The meeting is organised by the Oxford Geoengineering Programme (OGP), which is part of the Oxford Martin School. The lecture is open to all - please note that with the Old Indian Institute, the normal venue for talks by the OGP, undergoing renovation, this talk will be held at the Lindemann Lecture Theatre at the Department of Physics.
